I've got a feeling...

It has been so long since I've posted on my blog! Christina kindly mentioned to me the other day that she checks my blog all the time and it is never update so I guess I should catch up on it. So here I am, painting my nails, watching Fringe and updating my blog. I'm not sure if I can remember all the things that have happened since August though but here it goes...

My brother moved back to Vegas in August and I really miss him. Its hard not having him here all the time, it was a lot of fun while it lasted. He hates being back in Vegas but it made financial sense for him to do that after losing his job. He really is anxious to move back to Fort Collins in the near future though. We had such a great time hanging out and going to baseball games and stuff. Alan misses him too which is really cute. They get along so well, I wish I had that kind of relationship with my sister in law. We will just have to see what the future brings.

I've become an avid baseball fan over the summer. I'm lost without it right now and am counting down the days until opening day this spring. The Rockies made it to the post season and I was able to get playoff tickets for the first round against the Phillies. It was Ryan's birthday present that I had promised him during the regular season. He drove out to Colorado for a week and we had a great time watching the Rockies almost win. It was an awesome experience that I will remember always. The time with my little bro was worth every penny!

My parents are enjoying having my brother home for a few years but they are having to learn a lot in the process. My brother is living in my grandma's old house while my mom and aunt work on getting rid of all my grandmothers things. My brother still doesn't have a job and his unemployment ended the first of this month. He isn't paying rent and my dad is barely working. Needless to say, my parents are in a bad financial situation. Its really hard for me because I have a fairly secure job and Alan's company is posting record profits and distributing profit sharing checks on a month basis and my parents are thinking about filing for bankruptcy. Aren't the parents supposed to be the stable ones? When did this all change? Why am I the grown up now?

I love, love, love my new car! Every time I watch Twilight and they show my car, I get all giddy and excited. Alice is so much fun to drive. I'm glad that we decided to make the change and sell the Honda to get a fun car before there are kids in the picture. I'm certainly enjoying it!

Although I love my car, I also have fallen in love with the 1957 Ford Fairlane that my brother took a picture of at a car show in Vegas a few weeks ago.

Isn't she beautiful? I want one and her name is going to be Bernadette. She's so sexy...

Alan and I watched Food, Inc. the other day and it changed my world. I have an inkling of what happened in the dairy world because of work but this blew my mind. I highly recommend watching it, it will make you think for sure. We've decided to change the meat we buy because that is the part I felt the strongest about. I've also been trying to buy locally grown produce but its a lot harder than you might think. Its also a lot more expensive that I thought but it makes me feel good at the end of the day.

I ran anther half marathon in October. It was so much fun. I'm so glad that I started running, its such an escape for me. Alan was able to attend this half-marathon this time too. It was in downtown Denver and I really enjoyed running around that area since its so cool. It was fun having a cheerleader this time too. Alan was adorable with his sign and his cow bells cheering me on, it was fun. I've started weight lifting too in the last few weeks at the gym. The class is awesome and I'm really enjoying it. I can feel my body changing already. I'm excited to see what will the future will hold for me.

I'm the luckiest girl ever! I have my best friend living right across the street from me, how many people are that lucky? I ran into Christina at the mailbox the other day, how cool is that? It's going to be fun watching them experience all that Colorado has to offer...

Friday night, the girls are all going to see New Moon. I boycotted this for a while thinking that I would hate the screaming 13 year old girls but then I gave in. Everything will be fine with flasks involved right? I'm looking forward to to though, its going to be a good night.

Well, I think I better get a second coat on my nails before it gets to late. Hopefully I'll be better about updating my blog in the future.
