I can't believe I haven't posted since May! Nothing extremely exciting has happened since then so I guess that is a good thing. This past week was crazy busy but it was fun. Monday I stayed up till midnight watching the most incredible baseball game I've ever witnessed in 14 innings. Tuesday I went to a Rockies game that resulted in the Rockies beating the Dodgers in 10 innings. Wednesday we drove to Denver again to pick up our newest Coloradoan, Gene. Thursday night I went to Depeche Mode at Red Rocks with Jenn, Stacy, Shelly, Maggie and Kurt. There were GIANT margaritas involved and it was an amazing show. I wish I was more of a Depeche Mode fan but I now know that they are incredibly better live than a recording can ever catch. LAst night Alan and I went to my lab manager, Chandra, wedding. It was the first wedding we have been to since Shannon's and we had a blast. Its been a crazy week but it was a lot of fun.
Alan was in Vegas last weekend to celebrate his mom and sister's birthdays so I got to have some time to myself. I enjoy the alone time and being able to do whatever makes me happy. I went out with the girls and had a really fun night and I ended up getting my nose pierced with Stacy. That is something I won't be doing again but I'm glad I did it. Sometimes I forget that I have my own interests and I don't have to have Alan's opinion before I do something like that so it was fun and freeing.
We are so excited about Gene and Christina moving here. It's been a long time in the making but it is finally happening. Although Gene is here, its still hard to believe that he won't be going back to live in Tallahassee. I feel like he is just on vacation and eventually he will go home. Thankfully, he will not be going home and Fort Collins is now his home. having a roommate again is an adjustment but it is a welcome one since we have been hoping for this for a while now. Besides, change is good right?
